Tretyakov Gallery acquired "Branch" by Andrey Monastyrsky by the means of the endowment fund, founded by maecenas Vladimir Potanin.
Director of the Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova, in her speech regarding the museum collection acquirements in 2019, mentioned that they have 'lost the 90s', meaning that 'Branch' by Monastyrsky (1996) is important addition to the collection.
In the museum collection there are already two objects by Andrey Monastyrsky from the 70s - "Cannon" and "Breathing / Hearing". Congratulations to Tretyakov Gallery with the new artwork in their collection.
