The creative platform Shaltai Editions presents the second volume of The New Archive of Limited Edition Art (NATI). Created in collaboration with the State Tretyakov Gallery, this second volume includes works from nine artists: Yuri Albert, Olga Chernysheva, Olya Kroytor, Andrey Kuzkin, Taus Makhacheva, Andrey Monastyrsky, Irina Nakhova, Haim Sokol, and Vadim Zakharov. Each project’s participant was invited to use print technology to devise the contents of an “envelope,” that would impart an important personal statement. As expected, the artists each responded in their own way, with varying degrees of seriousness in their message, resulting in a unique and diverse collection. Despite the vast differences in the character and contents of the projects in each envelope, the new volume of NATI conveys one very important message: there is no better way to understand the world in which we live than to listen to what are contemporary artists are saying about it.
NATI is curated by Antonio Geusa, PhD, a specialist in philology who works as independent critic, curator and expert in the field of art and new technologies, and Irina Gorlova, the head of the Contemporary Art Department at the State Tretyakov Gallery.
