As part of Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor on September 8-10, 2017, Shaltai Editions presented its three latest productions: Alexander Pozvner’s Antic Light, Alexandra Paperno’s Roomsand Taus Makhacheva’s Sketches from Nature.
Antic Lightis Alexander Povzner’s realization of an old wish to make a brand new series of works using the possibilities of a 3D printer. The wish resulted in three sculptures that merge together classicism with modernity.
Premiered at the opening of the 57thVenice Biennale, Alexandra Paperno’s Roomsis the first work that the artist has made in a lithography workshop. It is a visual investigation that blurs the borders of a real architectural space and enters that of metaphysics.
Cosmoscow guest were lucky to be among the first to see the Sketches from Nature, Taus Makhacheva’s latest project. Starting with the study of recipes of the beginning of the 20thcentury, for a few months the artist has researched the way the human body can be purified and beautified in order to produce her own line of healthy products.
